| | Flow Chart| For a more detailed description of the RCK Check Recovery process, see below. |

 | Here is the process in more detail when a Consumer writes a check:- The merchant deposits a check from the consumer. A) The check clears and the merchant is paid. OR B) The check is returned unpaid to the merchant.
- If B), then the Bank forwards the returned check items to e-CAP per Bank Authorization Form.
- e-CAP receives and images the check in our software. *If the amount is over $2500.00, it is forwarded to secondary collections or back to the merchant.
- e-CAP sends a Store Notification Report in real-time via e-mail or fax to let the merchant know a bad check has been received.
- e-CAP presents checks to the check writer's account to coincide with available funds.
- If funds are available, then the check is paid. The merchant is sent via fax or email a Reimbursement Report indicating who has paid. The merchant is electronically paid the full amount of the check plus the rebate.
- If the check is returned again, it goes directly to our call center for verification of funds. When available funds are verified the check is represented for the second time.
- In the unlikely event the check is not recovered, it is sent to our secondary collections division.
- Any check, other than an NSF, is also sent to our secondary collections division.
